Speak your mind
And you may find
The feelings bottled up inside
Swallowed by your selfish pride
Will have no place left to hide

Leave the pain of guilt behind
If they don't value your opinion
(At least) they'll admire your honesty
The truth can hurt as well as heal
So tell them what you feel
Speak your mind

Can you perceive it
Do you believe it
Will you receive it
It will relieve it
To say the words
To say what you want to say

Don't hold back
No holds barred
Just state the facts
(And hope they) don't take it too hard

Show some emotion
Explain your thoughts
It's deeper than devotion
It's a shame if it's not

You owe it to your friends
You owe it to yourself
And the love you send
Every piece of wisdom helps

Nothing to conceal
Just let (it all) go
Show (them) how you feel
Let everyone know
